ABOUT
Weathering With You Blog
Purpose: This blog is about writing my own experiences living with depression and anxiety. Its purpose is to uplift and bring a sense of hope to my readers who suffer from mental disorders as well as those who've got loved ones who suffer from mental disorders. There is zero judgment here. WE ALL have got some issue or another. No one is perfect. And as a Christian writer, I believe that it is my responsibility to help others in need; thus, I'm here to share my own experiences with you all, along with the steps I take to climb my way out of that dark hole of depression and anxiety. Although, I can't take the credit for any of it because it's by God's grace that I'm still alive and well today, for it was my faith in the Lord that's helped me pull through those dark times. I only hope and pray that my words may help and lead you into God's comfort and embrace. Have a blessed day!
I'll periodically update the blog and forum!
Disclaimer:
I am NOT a professional therapist/counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist. I am simply a writer who wants to serve the Lord by helping others by elevating their faith through my writings and experiences. So go with God and enjoy the journey!
For all of you who are struggling with mental health issues:
-
You ARE NOT alone! There are others out there experiencing the same thoughts and feelings as you.
-
You ARE loved! It may seem like you are all alone, even if you have tons of people surrounding you. However, out of all those people, there is at least one person, if not more, that genuinely loves and cares about you. Of course, your pet also counts, too! And don't ever doubt the unconditional love that God has for you.
-
You ARE brave! You may feel weak or even a burden to those you love, but you must keep fighting through the pain and suffering. Pray for strength because God will fight for you and be your rock.
-
You ARE NOT worthless! You, as a person, have value. What you do, big or small, matters. I'm sure there is someone out there that you have made a difference in their life.
-
You HAVE purpose! Whether it is writing, drawing, creating, working, or even sharing a kind word and gentle touch. . . you have a purpose in this life. So find your niche, and take heart in doing good to serve the Lord and humanity.
-
Your mental health DOES NOT define you! Yes, it is a part of you, but it is not who you are. All of your qualities, personality, and morals are what make you, YOU! That means you are many things, a very complex being. That's okay! Everyone is! Us humans are not just one thing.
-
You ARE wanted! Look around you! There are so many people in this world that it would be hard to say, not one single person wants you. The person who wants you could be a significant other, family member, friend, pet, or someone you don't know yet.
