Do you ever feel like a failure? Like you're behind in life? Like you should already have everything figured out, and your life put together? If so, you're not alone! I've felt all of this and more. I felt like such a burden, not good or talented enough, and that I had absolutely nothing going for me. Not to mention, everything just seemed like it was not going my way, according to my plan. But in reality, that was just the devil putting doubts and negative thoughts in my head. And when that happens, it tends to make us feel worse about ourselves more so than we already do, which leaves us vulnerable and more susceptible to believe in all those lies. Hence, the spiraling pitfalls of depression and anxiety. And that's kind of where I've been at, all while trying to march on ahead and push forward the best I can.
Let me give you a little inside view. . .
Spring of 2019, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English Writing. On top of that, I had also received an Online Certificate in Writing for Interactive Media. But despite earning my degree and certificate, I still haven't been able to attain a full-time job that I'm allegedly supposed to be qualified for. And trust me, it's not for lack of trying either. I must've submitted a hundred job applications online, but not one has accepted me. I even went as far as trying to settle for a paid internship or apprenticeship but still was rejected for even those positions. So, I'm sure you know what happened next. If you guessed the plummeting of my self-confidence followed by many depressive episodes/breakdowns, then you guessed right. I became locked in a battle with myself, saying if only I were talented enough, if only I were smarter, and if only I had more experience, then I would have gotten the job.

But no matter how much I kept trying and applying for new jobs, I only ever received rejections. But through all this, it was then that I discovered I was good enough. I had the skills, the education, and 12+ years of experience and growth in writing. And with this newfound discovery, I began to pray, seeking out God's guidance and what I should do. And it came to me in the form of a question, what is something I love to do? I love to read! Thus, the birth of my own novel began by putting what I love to do and my God-given talents together.
Philippians2:13
"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him."
So, I finally stopped going with the flow of societal norms and altered my course towards a new path that very few dare to travel on. The path God intended for me to live, not according to my plan, but His plans for my life. And ever since I've gone down this road, God has aligned everything for me, giving me countless blessings one after another, so I may bring honor His name and reignite the spark of Christ within the people's hearts so they may come back to Him to restore their relationships, all through the use of my God-given talents.
Daniel4:2
"I want you all to know about the miraculous signs and wonders the Most High God has performed for me."
My student debts have been fully discharged. I was given the needed time off through the COVID-19 crisis to truly focus and finish my manuscript. The Lord blessed me with making a contract with an editor. And He provided the necessary funds to pay off my editor in full. Each of these were huge obstacles in my way. But when I sought out God through prayer, seeking his help, and talking to Him about the problems before me, He ended up blessing me farther than I could have ever imagined and delivered on them all! It's why I have complete faith and wholeheartedly trust in the Lord, my God. After all, I was able to experience His blessings firsthand.

Mark11:24
"I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours."
I know for certain as long as I continue down the path God has laid out for me, the Lord will come through for me always, granting me His grace and favor.
So, know that you're not behind in life. There's no set timetable for us to get things done in a certain order and time. We're all just blossoming in this world we call life when He believes we're ready. And once that happens, the Lord will lead you where He wants you to be.
Psalms5:8
"Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow."

Pray to Him, and the Lord will open doors for you that you never even thought were in your reach. But if a door happens to close in your life, don't fret! God is trying to protect you by letting you know whatever it is, is not meant for you. So trust in Him and always have faith. He wants what's best for us, after all!
Zephaniah3:17
"For the Lord, your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior, He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."
Philippians4:13
"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."
