Have you ever heard the voices in your head, the kind that sneaks its way into your mind? Almost as if they came out of nowhere? The brief whisperings that needle their way through, saying: you're not good enough, you're a burden to others, you're unlovable, you're all alone, you're worthless, and you have no purpose.
At first, you think it's nothing but some silly thoughts of insecurity, evading your consciousness. But then they begin to pile up. . . more so than the day before. Eventually, you find yourself staring at your reflection in the mirror, not liking what you see because you now believe those thoughts are all true. So, you begin to think, what point is there to keep on living?

However, the most important part to remember out of this is that THEY ARE JUST LIES! Satan himself and the evil forces behind him are the culprits. They create these terribly persuasive lies and feed them to you.
1Peter5:8-9
"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are."
Satan is the master of deception and illusion. He creeps through the shadows, lying in wait to pounce on us when the time is right. He tries to court you with sweet-laced words and temptations. He bides his time while slowly trying to dig his claws in deeper, to manipulate us to his own will. However, Satan's will is to cause pain, suffering, death, and destruction. With each action and belief in Satan's lies, he chips another piece away from our souls. Leaving us feeling empty inside and completely disconnected. He's the cause of our thoughts and feelings when experiencing episodes and breakdowns. The devil revels in the sight of our suffering and our feelings of being completely alone, when in actuality, there's a ton of people surrounding us. Satan is the invisible evil, much like our mental illnesses and disorders such as depression and anxiety.
Ephesians6:12
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places."
Therefore, we must don on God's armor to protect ourselves. Pray, have faith, and trust in God. He, the Lord Almighty, will fight our battles and rejoice in our salvation from evil!

Do not believe in the lies that your depression and anxiety make you out to be. I know it may be hard to think that way right now because you've been feeding off those lies for so long. Heck, I struggle with it still to this very day. Such lies can lead a person astray, straight into the dark depths of despair. And the reason that I know this is because I've been there. I made a few suicide attempts over the course of my life. However, the most recent attempt occurred in September of 2015. I would have succeeded in taking my life if it weren't for my family finding me and immediately whisking me away to the ICU. Since then, quite a few years have gone by, and I still have thoughts of no longer wanting to be here. But I catch myself and pray to God. It's then that I remember that I am who God says I am, and so are you. And what does He say, you ask?
Well, God says that all of His people are beautiful, a child of God, lovable, worthy, good enough, talented, and has a purpose in this life.
Romans8:38-39
"Nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears of today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below--indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
